Working Student (f/m/d) Digital Services
Über uns:
Data Driven Services, including Cybersecurity, is a key growth area within Siemens and we are looking for a working student to support the strategic and commercial expansion of this offering and help us achieve our ambitious global targets. This would be a global role focused on helping our regions develop and win orders in this portfolio. The second part of the role would be in relation to supporting the implementation of industry specific strategies and reporting. In CS we are improving our understanding of our Verticals (Industries), but we hope this role can help us gain added value from this transparency. Finally, as both topics are relatively new, we need to improve our processes and best practice sharing globally and this would be a key task for the role. This role could develop into having strategic responsibility for a specific industry (e.g. Renewables) and involvement with customer negotiations for the right candidate.
Aufgaben:
- Strategic Support - Provide transparency to enable better decision making on strategic topics by creation of Wall-to-Wall Profit reviews, Business Modelling, Scenario Planning and reviewing investment proposals.
- Data Analysis - EA has a new data strategy that highlights the importance of data quality and the value that can be derived from understanding accurate data. Part of the role would involve improving the global data quality in relation to Pipeline and Industry reporting whilst at the same time using this improved knowledge to bring value to the regions.
- Communication - For our data driven services and vertical reporting strategy to work, it is important that our regions are kept informed and can communicate to us their wishes. Therefore, one of the tasks would be improving our global communication approach to each region and ensuring they are up to date with all relevant topics.
- Process Improvement - As a global role it will be required to introduce global standardization and best practice of topics including calculation templates, Win/Loss Analysis and Process documentation.
Qualifikationen:
- Strong analytical skills are important; the ideal candidate would not only look to understand the data presented to them but consider its wider implications and propose actions based upon this information.
- This is a varied role with lots of different topics so ideal candidate would have a passion to learn new skills and embrace working outside of their comfort zone.
- Technical skills or ability to learn new software quickly are an important characteristic of successful candidate. One of the key tasks of any commercial is to communicate information to non-finance colleagues in a way they understand. This requires different approaches/ tools.
- English is the international language of Siemens and as this is a global role, the successful candidate would need proficiency in both written and verbal communication. German is an advantage but not a necessity.
